3How do I book my package collection?
Register yourself with us and simply go the book now tab providing the required details and time for pickup. You can pay for the order after getting an approved message from our team. Stick the shipment label on the package and our collection guy will come for pickup at your given time.
4Do I need to provide dimensions, weight and type of my package?
Dropmybag usually suggests customers to try to provide correct dimension, weight and type of package with their possible means of measuring. Wrong or incomplete details may incur in delaying the delivery of the package at the destination incurring in extra charges or customs issues.
5What can I ship?
Dropmybag can ship almost anything like suitcases, carton boxes, trunks, personal belongings etc... You just need to ensure the items in the package should be thoroughly packed.
6What do I have to do to prepare my package for collection?
Dropmybag cannot be responsible for damage to unprotected package. All your personnel belongings to be kept in a carton box, full secured by running tape across the folded flaps at the top and bottom. Suitcases should have strong handles and should have limited weight your suitcase can withstand or else handles, wheels may be damaged. Bikes- Need to be in an appropriate bike container or box. Golf bags- Must be in an airline compatible case or coverage. Skis – Must be in an appropriate ski container, along with boots and bindings.
7What are the items that I cannot send?
1. Animals (including birds, fish, insects, larvae, pupae etc.) 2. Animal products (including but not limited to ivory, fur and garments trimmed with fur) 3. Antiques and art works 4. Bullion 5. Complete firearms and firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, weapons 6. Dangerous / hazardous goods (including but not limited to perfumes, aftershaves, aerosols, flammable substances, loose lithium batteries, dry ice, biological substances, UN classified dangerous goods and any goods specified as such under International Air Transport Association regulations (“ATA”), the Agreement on Dangerous Goods by Road (“ADR”) or International Maritime Dangerous Goods (“IMDG”) regulations. 7. Flowers and plant products 8. Human remains or ashes 9. Illegal goods (these are goods which are considered illegal in the origin, the transit points and / or the destination countries and would include but not be limited to pirated goods, counterfeit goods and narcotics) 10. Imitation (replica) firearms, toy guns, weapons, explosive devices or ammunition 11. Medical samples (including but not limited to bodily fluids and tissue samples) 12. Negotiable instruments in bearer form (including but not limited to bank notes, currency, vouchers) 13. Perishable items that require a temperature controlled environment 14. Pornography 15. Prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products 16. Tobacco. 17. Foodstuffs, perishable food articles and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control, including, but not limited to: Wine, Beer, Spirits and Champagne. 18. Packages that are wet, leaking or emit an odour of any kind or packages wrapped in Kraft paper. 19. Any item containing alcohol (including perfumes and aftershaves) is not permitted to be packed in unaccompanied luggage. 20. Any pressurised container is not permitted like deodorants and hairsprays.
8Can I send large or oversized equipment?
Yes, extra-large items such as kayaks, canoes, surfboards, windsurf and sails etc. Must be packed in a travel case especially designed for that piece of equipment.
9How far in advance should I book?
Minimum of 2 working days prior to the date of collection would be enough for us also for planning. If you have a last-minute order, you can call or chat with our customer service team who will assist you.
10Would it be cheaper, if I send more than 1 item?
Yes, discount will be provided for 4 or more items and will be calculated when you place your booking & is automatically included in your final price.
11Can I change my package collection date or time?
Very simple, just call us and speak to our customer service team for assistance.
12How do I pay?
Once your online booking is completed, you can pay via our secure payment facility. We accept debit/credit cards- Mastercard, Maestro, American express, Visa.
13Will I get any confirmation call/message once booked?
Yes, a booking receipt message will be sent within 30 to 60 minutes which will include tracking number.
14Do I need to be present when my package is collected?
You may nominate a relative, friend or a 3rd party to hand over your package to our collection guy.
